Therefore, the Holy Spirit rightly commands through
David that princes should open the gates for the
glorious King, so that the Son of God, the King of
glory, may enter to them through His word and
through His true pastors.
Psalm 2, 24; Isaiah 1, 8. And they should cast out the
foul wolves, boars, sacrificial priests, fornicators,
those contaminated in mind and body, and idolaters.
For it is manifest that they are seen to be infected
by the Gallic and Frankish plague of the Antichrist
and the sacrificial priests.
Finally, princes are commanded to apprehend
celestial discipline and doctrine with the Son of God,
because whatever the Antichrists, pseudo-christs,
heretics, and Helto-Franciscans of Blandrata babble,
is blasphemy against the Son of God. Therefore, by the
command of God, princes ought to cast out and punish
with the sword heretics and blasphemers, as is
prescribed in Deuteronomy 18, Ezekiel 13, 14, Exodus 22,

They are called the ordinance of God for this reason:
