Cosmographiae totius compendiosa et dilucida explicatio

I made it into Latin. Two things primarily impelled me to follow their opinion in making the decision: first, the author's clarity in writing, and second, his brevity; these two things are most sought after by those whose industry is distracted by many studies. And indeed, I hope this work will be pleasing to you for these reasons, because it seems to be required by the nature of your studies, for which it has been determined that good literature and the liberal arts should be tasted just enough so that they do not cause a long delay for those hastening toward the inexhaustible fountains of Theology. However, in translating the author, I have added a few things in a few places, which are so far from changing the author's meaning that they even (unless I am entirely mistaken) illustrate it. I have omitted some things that seemed to be parerga side issues or superfluous matters and unnecessary in such a small work. In this matter, I have taken as my judges those whom no one could rightfully declare unjust.
