COSMOGRA-
PHIA OF PETRUS APIANUS, BY GEMMA FRI-
sius, physician and distinguished mathematician at Leuven,
now finally vindicated from all errors, and also augmented in some
places, and illustrated with marginal annotations. To which are added
booklets of the same subject by Gemma Frisius himself.
An image-desc appears: A terrestrial globe mounted on a stand, featuring labels for "EUROPE", "ASIA", "AFRICA", "MOVABLE MERIDIAN", and "HORIZON". The globe is flanked by the words "WEST" on the left and "EAST" on the right. Below the globe is a small decorative cartouche with the date "1574" and a small pillar-like instrument on the right.
