I think it is absurd, and I have rightly considered this (for it is indeed absurd), if those who stand for the lies of Eutyches and Dioscorus, and who have declared war against the truth, fight so strongly and vigilantly against the only catholic and apostolic Church of God, that even the little children among them, not yet speaking clearly, before they go to teachers and learn the first elements of letters, sharpen and incite themselves to say and hear what makes for the doctrine held by them; yet we are so slothful and fallen, that we do not even strive to know what the difference is between these people and the Church, and from what beginnings the war they wage against us consists, and who are their leaders from whom they have derived their names.
