...not three Essences might be received. And indeed, hypostasis is what is ἰδιότης distinctive property, and what is πρόσωπον prosōpon/person, namely a subsisting nature. Whence also Dionysius, speaking of God, says the unity subsisting in a triple nature, etc.
But the whole of Scripture, which uniquely champions the unity of God in explaining His nature, everywhere uses distinct words. For if the Trinity is not, to what purpose do the names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit pertain? Therefore, whether you call them Persons, degrees, hypostases, species, forms, or Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, it is the same, provided that you believe and understand that the unity of God consists in the Trinity, and that this has its own properties.

A decorative initial letter 'D' appears here.
The Servetians teach that the name of the Trinity was invented by Athanasius and the Fathers of the Nicene Council: that Trinitarians are Tritoitas those who believe in three gods, atheists, having a tripartite and aggregative God. They claim the most true Trinity is God the Father, the species of the image seen, and the gift proceeding from there. That the Trinity is not in the essence of God, but in creatures.
