CHAP. 23. V. 24 Thou shalt not adore their gods, nor worship them, nor do according to their works: but by destroying, thou shalt destroy them, and by breaking, thou shalt break their statues.
CHAP. 34. V. 14 For thou shalt not bow thyself to another god: for Jehovah Jealous original: "Iehouáh Zelotes" is his name, he is a jealous God.
& 17 Thou shalt not make cast gods for thyself.
...le, or the image of any likeness, that is, the form of male or female:
17 The form of any animal that lives on the earth, the form of any winged bird that flies through the heaven:
18 The form of any creeping thing on the earth, the form of any fish that lives in the water under the earth:
19 Lest perhaps thou liftest up thine eyes to heaven, to see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, and art driven, and bow thyself to them, and worship those things which Jehovah thy God has distributed to all peoples under the whole heaven.
20 But Jehovah took you, and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, that you might be his people of inheritance, as on this day.
21 But Jehovah was angry with me on account of your words, and swore that I would not cross the Jordan, nor enter the good land which Jehovah thy God gives thee for an inheritance.
22 For I die in this land, nor do I cross the Jordan: but you cross, and you shall possess this good land.
23 Take heed therefore to yourselves lest perhaps you forget the covenant of Jehovah your God which he made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image, or the image of any thing, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee.
24 For Jehovah thy God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
CHAP. 5. V. 8. Thou shalt not make for thyself any carved image, or any image of those things which are in heaven above, or of those which are in the earth below, or of those which are in the waters under the earth.
9 Thou shalt not bow thyself to them, nor worship them: for I Jehovah thy God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons and into the third and fourth generation to those who hate me:
10 And showing mercy to thousands who love me, and keep my commandments.
CHAP 6. V. 14 Thou shalt not walk after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are in your surroundings:
15 (For Jehovah thy God is a jealous God in the midst of thee) lest perhaps the anger of Jehovah thy God be inflamed against thee, and destroy thee from the surface of the earth.
16 You shall not test Jehovah your God, as you tested (him) in Massah.
CHAP. 7. V. 25 You shall burn the carved images of the gods with fire: you shall not covet the silver and gold which are upon them, and take (them) for thyself: lest thou ensnare thyself in it: for it is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.
26 Nor shalt thou introduce an abomination into thy house, and be an anathema devoted/cursed thing like it: by detesting, thou shalt detest it, and by abominating, thou shalt abominate it, because it is an anathema.
CHAP 8. V. 19 But if by forgetting, thou shalt have forgotten Jehovah thy God, and walked after alien gods, and worshipped them, and bowed thyself to them, I testify against you today that you shall perish by perishing.
20 As the nations which Jehovah is about to destroy from before you, so you shall perish, in that you did not obey the voice of Jehovah your God.
CHAP. 11. V. 16 Take heed therefore to yourselves lest perhaps your heart be seduced and you recede, and worship alien gods, and bow yourselves to them:
17 Whence the anger of Jehovah shall be inflamed against you, and he shall shut the heavens, and there shall be no rain, nor shall the earth give its fruit, and you shall perish quickly from the good land, which Jehovah gives to you.
CHAP. 12. V. 29 When Jehovah thy God shall have cut off the nations to which you go to possess them from before thee, and thou shalt have possessed them, and dwelled in their land:
30 Take heed to thyself lest thou ensnare thyself by going after them, after they have perished from before thee: lest thou inquire about their gods, saying, How did those nations worship theirs: and I will do so also.
31 Thou shalt not do so to Jehovah thy God: because every abomination of Jehovah which he hates, they have done to their gods: for even their sons and their daughters they burned with fire to their gods.
32 Whatever I command you, you shall keep to do: thou shalt not add to it, nor diminish from it.
CHAP. 16. V. 21 Thou shalt not plant for thyself a grove of any trees near the altar of Jehovah thy God, which thou shalt make for thyself.
22 Nor shalt thou raise up a statue for thyself: which thing Jehovah thy God hates.
