| Remember the Sabbath day, to sanctify it. | Keep my Sabbaths: I am Jehovah your God. | Observe the Sabbath day, to sanctify it, as Jehovah thy God commanded thee. |
9 For six days thou shalt work, and do all thy work.
10 But on the seventh day it shall be a Sabbath to Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, neither thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy servant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine animal, nor thy stranger who is in thy gates.
11 For in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and whatever is in them: and he rested on the seventh day: therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day, and sanctified it.
CHAP. 23. v. 12 Six days thou shalt do thy works, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: so that thy ox and thy donkey may rest, and the son of thy maidservant, and the stranger may breathe.
CHAP. 31. v. 12 Jehovah said furthermore to Moses, saying,
13 And thou, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, Yet you shall keep my Sabbaths: because it is a sign between me and you in your generations, that you may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies you.
14 You shall therefore keep the Sabbath, because it is holiness to you: whoever shall have profaned it, by dying he shall die: because everyone doing work in it, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of its peoples.
15 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is the Sabbath of cessation, the holiness of Jehovah: whoever shall have done work on the Sabbath day, by dying he shall die.
16 Therefore the sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath, observing it in their generations: it is a perpetual covenant.
17 It is a sign forever between me and the sons of Israel: because in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the seventh day he ceased and rested.
CHAP. 34. v. 21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt cease: in plowing and in harvest thou shalt cease.
CHAP. 35. v. 3 You shall not kindle a fire in any of your habitations on the Sabbath day.
30 You shall observe my Sabbaths, and shall fear my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.
CHAP. 23. v. 3 Six days shall work be done: but on the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy celebration, you shall do no work: it is the Sabbath of Jehovah in all your habitations.
CHAP. 26. v. 2 Keep my Sabbaths, and fear my sanctuary: I am Jehovah.
13 Six days thou shalt work, and do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day shall be the Sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt do no work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy servant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy ox, nor thy donkey, nor any of thy beasts, nor thy stranger who shall have lived within thy gates: so that thy servant and thy maidservant may rest as thou.
15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out from there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day.
