5 You shall therefore guard the guard of Holiness, and the guard of the altar, so that there may not be wrath henceforth against the sons of Israel.
6 But you and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood in all things which pertain to the altar and within the veil: and you shall minister: I have placed your priesthood as a ministry of a gift: therefore an outsider who shall approach, shall die.
Deuter. ch. 18, verse 9.
WHEN you have entered the land which Iehouah your God gives to you, you shall not learn to do according to the abominations of those Gentiles.
10 There shall not be found in you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one divining divinations, a conjurer, and an augur, nor a sorcerer:
11 Nor an enchanter, nor one questioning a python a familiar spirit or medium: nor a magician, nor one seeking from the dead.
12 For everyone who does these things is an abomination of Iehouah, and on account of these abominations Iehouah your God casts them out from your face.
13 You shall be perfect with Iehouah your God.
14 For those Gentiles whom you are about to possess, consult prognosticators and diviners: but you not so: for Iehouah your God has given to you.
15 A prophet from the midst of you from your brethren, as I am, Iehouah your God shall raise up for you, him you shall hear:
16 According to all that you requested from Iehouah your God in Horeb, in the day of the congregation, saying, Let me not add to hear the voice of Iehouah my God, nor see this great fire anymore, lest I die.
17 And Iehouah said to me, They have done well in this that they have spoken.
18 A prophet I will raise up for them from the midst of their brethren like you, and I will place my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all things which I shall command him.
CH. 12, v. 28 Guard, and hear all these words which I command to you, so that it may be well for you and your sons after you even into the age meaning: forever, when you shall have done what is good and right in the eyes of Iehouah your God.
29 When Iehouah your God shall have cut off the Gentiles to whom you are going so that you may possess them, from your face, and you shall have possessed them, and shall have lived in their land:
30 Beware for yourself lest you ensnare yourself by going after them, after they shall have perished from your face: lest you inquire about their gods, saying, How did those Gentiles worship their gods: and I shall do so also myself:
31 You shall not do so to Iehouah your God: because every abomination of Iehouah which he hates, they have done to their gods: for even their sons and their daughters they were burning with fire to their gods.
32 Whatever I command you, you shall guard so that you may do it: you shall not add to it, nor shall you diminish from it.
CH. 17, v. 8 If something shall have been hidden from you in judgment, between blood and blood, between cause and cause, between wound and wound, in matters of strife within your gates, then you shall arise, and go up to the place which Iehouah your God shall have chosen.
9 And you shall come to the Priests the Levites, and to the Judge who shall be in those days, and you shall inquire, and they shall indicate to you the word of judgment.
10 And you shall do according to the word which they shall indicate to you from that place which Iehouah shall have chosen, and you shall observe to do according to all which they shall teach you:
11 According to the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall say to you, you shall do: you shall not decline from the word which they shall indicate to you, to the right or to the left.
12 But the man who shall have acted through pride so that he does not obey the priest who shall have stood to minister there before Iehouah your God, or the judge, that man shall die, and you shall remove the evil from Israel:
13 So that the entire people may hear and fear, and not act proudly any further.
Levit. ch. 19, verse 26.
YOU shall not eat flesh with blood. You shall not divine, nor shall you observe times.
31 Do not turn yourselves to pythons mediums and to haruspices diviners examining entrails, do not consult them, so that you may defile yourselves in them: I am Iehouah your God.
CH. 10, v. 9 Wine and sechar strong drink you shall not drink, you and your sons with you, when you are about to enter the tabernacle of the congregation, and you shall not die: it is a perpetual statute into your generations.
10 Then so that you may discern between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean.
11 And you shall teach the sons of Israel all the statutes which Iehouah has spoken to them by the hand of Moses.
