pastors and teachers. Therefore, these individual passages are understood to be continued with the preceding ones because of ἐπιμονή dwelling/persistence.
Ἀπεξεργασία working out or ἐπιμονή persistence (Commoratio) is an accurate and continued treatment and confirmation of the same thing, because it is of great importance. Thus Paul, in the Epistle to the Galatians, chapters three and four, laboriously acts and disputes concerning the abrogation of the use of legal ceremonies in the Christian Church, which are not necessary. In the Epistle to the Romans, chapters nine, ten, and eleven, concerning the election and reprobation of men. Thus, in the Epistle to the Ephesians, chapter two, verse one, there is ἐπιμονή persistence, because he continues the same argument that he had demonstrated in the previous chapter, but having assumed a new means and brought forth an argument. In the Epistle to the Philippians, chapter two, verses two and three, there is ἀπεξεργασία working out. For he dwells laboriously on commending mutual Christian charity. Thus, in the Epistle to the Colossians, chapter one, verse seventeen, there is ἐπιμονή persistence. In the first to Timothy 3, there is ἐπιμονή persistence. For in describing the gifts necessary for a Bishop and a Deacon, Paul is accurate. Therefore, those who wish to teach the reason for the order in those verses in one word should indicate that it is either ἀπεξεργασία working out or ἐπιμονή persistence.
Αὔξησις amplification is the description and adornment of some illustrious thing, so that it may appear greater and more worthy. Thus Paul, in the Epistle to the Philippians, describing his own condition, enumerated individual things that could procure splendor for him among the Jewish people, chapter three, verses 5 and 6.
