He confirms by oath what he said, because of hypocrites and false apostles. Observation: When one must swear: Not except in grave matters to defend the glory of God and the salvation of one's neighbor.

Then it is the worship of God, because he gives honor to God, that He is the defender of truth. Isaiah 48: The people of the New Testament shall swear by my name.

Hebrews 6: We look to the end of God swearing. In Hebrews 6, He swears for the greatest matter, namely, He confirms with an oath the inheritance promised to Abraham. Through Ezekiel, He swears for the greatest matter, the remission of sins. As I live, I do not desire the death of the sinner, but that he may turn and live.

22 But I was unknown by face to the Churches of Judea: which were in Christ.

Paul did not seek his own glory, therefore he easily bore the fact that he was not known.

23 But they only heard that they said, He who once persecuted us, now announces the faith which he once ravaged.

24 And they glorified God in me.

Observation: Wherever the gifts of God appear, we ought to glorify God. And let us pray to the Lord that He may give twenty talents instead of one to His servants. Christ Himself says: The harvest is copious, the laborers are few; pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may thrust forth laborers into His harvest.
