Meanwhile, medicines are to be administered that confirm and strengthen the brain, aid digestion, and consume depraved humors. Such are those that are highly recommended by physicians for this affliction: namely, hare's rennet, castor a secretion from the beaver used in medicine, Theriaca a complex historical medical antidote, Mithridatium a complex historical antidote against poisons, and in general, all those things which, by a singular property and their entire substance, have been seen and known through certain experience to aid this affliction.

XXXVI.

All of which we shall now be able to achieve with the most successful outcome before the aforementioned medicines, provided we accommodate the universals to the particulars with due reason. And let these things said concisely regarding the cure of epilepsy suffice.
