You desire to shine more by your own virtue,
You wish that light should reside in your own praise.
The illustrious Rhaetian people, distinguished by the title of Doctor,
Will receive you with their joyful council applause.
Now, therefore, proceed to give medicines through mixed juices,
And to bring cups with a health-bringing hand.

The aid which Hippocrates the father of medicine and Galen the renowned Roman physician taught.

Grant that these things follow for you as successful achievements.
May you live long, happy, and as a pillar and ornament of your country,
And may you be added as a firm column to the sacred flock.
