Commentaries will be the more acceptable to you, for the reason that almost the entire foundation of their sophistry and captious doctrine is subverted in these, and the principles of the Christian religion are confirmed here, namely concerning justification through faith in Jesus Christ: and likewise concerning the election of the saints, and the grace of God toward the human race: whoever has been correctly imbued with these will easily be able to resist their other tricks. May God, the best and greatest, who has revealed the kingdom of truth in the word of faith, and has invited the whole world to the knowledge of His Son and to the great supper, vindicate His church, redeemed by the blood of His Son, from the furies and frauds of Satan and the world, and protect you and your most noble house, and your subjects, with His spirit, so that you may be able to persist in the true faith and finally be crowned by the Son of God in heaven.
