Grynaeus, Johann Jakob · 1583

For what pious person with right judgment would deny that he is to be invoked by us, who is man in such a way that, according to the Spirit of sanctification, he is the same Jehovah, in whom it is fitting for us to believe and in whose name it is fitting to be baptized?
But our Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah, if you look to his divinity: we must also believe in him: and it behooves us to be baptized in his name, etc. Mat. 28:19.
Wherefore, together with the whole orthodox and catholic Church, let us piously establish that Christ is to be adored by us: and let us direct our prayers to this supreme Priest, who paid the lytra ransom price for us: and in his name let us ask of God the Father that he may bless us abundantly in Christ Jesus the theanthrōpō God-man.

By way of a concluding crowning statement, we shall add to this disputation the pious Interrogations and Answers of Anastasius, Patriarch of Theopolis, concerning this article of our religion. In the Economy (that is, the mystery of the incarnation), how many Natures do you profess? Two, Deity and Humanity: so that the same Son may be perfect God and perfect Man. How many natural wills and actions do you profess in Christ? Two: one divine, and the other human.
Greg. in Past.
Christ, as God, gives all things; as man, he receives, etc.
Always glory to God.
