there is nothing better known, nothing more explicit, and nothing more clearly attested, than that not only the designs, but also the actions and all the deeds of these men aimed at this: that once the legitimate heiress and most powerful Princess was deposed and despoiled of her kingdom, they might most wickedly substitute some other person in her place and sovereignty, as had long been their desire.
