APPENDIX.
The Sectarii sectarians lie when they affirm that the Fathers of the Council of Trent did not exhort men to more frequent communion than once a year.
XLII.
It is a heretical dogma that all and individual faithful are held by divine precept to receive the Eucharist under both species as often as they communicate.
XLIII.
For that precept is not gathered 1. from any words of Christ, 2. nor from the institution of both species, 3. nor from the nature of this Sacrament, 4. nor from the example of Christ, 5. nor from any practice or tradition of the ancient Church; rather, from all these places, the contrary assertion can be rightly confirmed.
APPENDIX.
The Sectarii sectarians deceive wickedly and are deceived most shamefully when they contend that the Apostle in 1 Corinthians 11 interprets the institution of Christ such that the precept of receiving under both species pertains to all.
XLIIII.
It has been rightly decreed by the Church that those who do not themselves accomplish this Sacrament should receive it under one species only.
APPENDIX.
In attacking this assertion, the Sectarii sectarians very frequently, indeed perpetually, beg the question.
XLV.
Our task, however, is not so much to discuss the reasons that moved the Church to that institution, as to consider them to have been most just (as they truly are) and to obey the decree of the Church simply.
