Seeing that no one ordinarily should preach any doctrine which he has not learned in the Church of God (for as St. Paul says, Faith comes by hearing), I would very much like to know from which Doctors and Pastors Calvin and Knox have learned the doctrine which is now preached in Scotland?

Response.

If you inquire to learn and not to slander, read their writings as is proper, and you will find that they have drawn them from the true and irrefragable Pastors and Doctors of the Church, namely the Prophets and Apostles and their true successors.
