How many declensions of participles are there? Three. For all participles in -ans and in -ens are of the third declension of the noun: all in -us and in -um, of the second: and feminine in -a, of the first.

What is an Adverb? An indeclinable part of speech, which, added to a verb, determines its signification, that is, it either completes, changes, or diminishes it: as, I will do it Iam now, I will do it benè well, you will do it malè badly.
Whence is the adverb called? From the preposition Ad, that is, "to," and the noun Verbum verb: because it has a necessity to be always near the verb, so that it may declare its signification.

How many species of adverbs are there? Two. Which? Primitive, which is not born from elsewhere: as Heri yesterday, cras tomorrow, pax peace, idem the same which is just as much. Derived, which falls from elsewhere: as Vefperi in the evening, which is from the dative of a noun. Furtim secretly, which is from the verb furor to steal. Strictim tightly, from ftringo to bind. Homericè Homerically, from Homer. Humanitus and humaniter humanly from humano human.

How many significations of adverbs are there? Twenty-four: as in such a variety of circumstances of time, place, quantity, and the rest.
Give of time: as When, how long, how long ago, how long since, until when, how often.
