VII.
All those who have free administration of their own property can sell under this agreement, as well as Emphyteutae holders of long-term land leases and vassals, provided this is done with the consent of the Lord and those whose interest it is that the alienation not occur.
VIII.
All things whose sale is not prohibited, both movable and immovable (to which annual revenues are correctly added), can be sold under this law.
IX.
And the purchase of such revenues or (as they are commonly called) annual taxes censuum rents/taxes, is no less lawful than the purchase of other things, and not usurious; unless the low price and other suspicious factors induce a presumption of usury.
X.
Nor, however, is the entire contract rendered vicious on account of that deficiency in price, but only in the part exceeding the revenues.
XI.
Clearly, annual revenues are purchased illicitly if the power of redeeming is committed to the will and discretion of the buyer.
XII.
But it is permitted to agree not only for a certain time, but also in perpetuity, so that whenever or within certain times the item may be resold, or restored once the price has been offered.
Wherefore
