Let these principles be in the sight of the pious mind, which no pious person can contradict.
1. There is one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him. 1 Cor. 8:6.
2. There is one Mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. 1 Tim. 2:5.
3. God the Father has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ. Eph. 1. From this we gather that we are chosen, called, justified, and glorified in him.
4. In one Christ it seemed good to the Father to anakephalaiōsasthai ta panta sum up all things, Eph. 1:10.
5. This one Christ has no need of another Christ and Mediator: and therefore not even a Vicar on earth.
6. If by one trespass death reigned through one, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:17.
7. Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Heb. 13:8.
Christ is the theanthropos God-man person, a mediator between God the Father, whose only-begotten Son he is, and the Catholic Church, to whom he gives salvation. John 1:14, Heb. 12:24, Eph. 5:23.
