Exposition of the Given:
That Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the living God: amētōr motherless, according to his eternal Deity: apatōr fatherless, according to the flesh: and God made manifest in the flesh: justified in the Spirit. Matt. 1:23, Acts 2:22, Matt. 16:16, Heb. 7:3, 1 Tim. 3:16.
Definition of the Question:
He is the Christ, that is, that anointed one of the Lord, of whom it is said: For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for God does not measure out the Spirit to him. John 3:34.
Such a high priest, however, was fitting for us, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, made higher than the heavens: for whom it is not necessary daily, as it is for those high priests, to offer sacrifices first for his own sins, then for the sins of the people: for this he did once when he offered himself. Heb. 7:26, 27.
John most wisely explained the purpose for which and what this CHRIST is in these words: These things, however, are written so that you may believe that JESUS is the CHRIST the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life through his name. John 20:31.
The Construction:
