A definition is either a principle of demonstration, or the demonstration itself differing, or a certain conclusion of demonstration.
1. Whether from any number, when a number or unity is taken away, another number is left. 1 De Anima, text 68.
2. Whether an odd number should be defined as that which differs by one from an even one: an even one, which is divided in two. 7 d 7, 6 d 7, 6 Top 2.
3. Whether a prime number is more rightly called that which only unity measures; or that which is not measured by a number, nor composed of numbers. 12 d 7, 2 Post, text 17.
4. Whether and how it is permitted for physicians to call numbers odd or even.
