I.
Civil law is perpetual. Civil law is not perpetual.

In our law, certain things are said to be of right legal status or entitlement, and others are said to be of fact. Those that are of right, such as inheritance, possession of goods, obligation, ownership, usucapio acquisition of ownership by long-term possession, and ususfructus the right to use and enjoy the profits of another's property, etc., are subject to division, legal fiction, and pass from person to person. They are removed only by things that are of right, and not by things that are of fact.

However, those things that are of fact, such as possession, delivery, sale, payment, labor, annual legacy, use, habitation, servitudes of estates, and most actions, are not subject to division or legal fiction, nor do they pass from person to person.
IV.
Agreements that are added to instruments immediately are included in both strict contracts and good faith contracts, as much on the part of the plaintiff as on the part of the defendant.
