Regarding the ART of generating M. Magistery or ♀ the Stone. There are certain principles which are understood by thought and intellect alone, such as Chaos, Alteration, Potential, Operation, Generation, and Digestion. Some are only sensible, such as wine or primary matter, body or form, elements, the perfect being, informing poison, colors, fermentation, separation. Some are evident to both intellect and sense, such as the heaven.
A. FROM CHAOS, first, as if from darkness, the suitable craftsman emerges and recognizes himself between this rude, confused, and undigested mass of elements and the remaining principles leading to M. or ♀, whereby he may arrive there through B, C, D, and the primordial foundations that naturally follow.
B. We accept MATTER, then that from which, with the craftsman acting from the outside, D arises. Then the more imperfect metals to be changed under M. or ♀. Likewise C and D, which suffer in the sense of undergoing or being affected.
C. FORM, truly, is how the craftsman administers these principles and moves them with consideration. It is also that which provides for M. or ♀ itself, whereby they may be and exist, and whereby he may change whatever he pleases from T, S, V, Z into X or Y.
D. HEAVEN is the feminine power from which the offspring of the male is received, nourished, and grows until it is entirely changed into M. or ♀.
E. The ELEMENTS proceed from B into D and through C.
