Therefore, in the previous solar emblem, Prometheus is introduced handing over the celestial solar fire with a lamp to those in the sublunar realm, especially to Cupid, who gives the fire or genial, vivifying, and multiplicative Spirits to Deucalion and his wife Pyrrha for the animation of children born from rocks and stones; and likewise to the terrestrial Gods and Goddesses; to Venus for the proliferation of human seeds; to Pan for the fecundation of brute animals; to Flora for the vegetation of warm plants; to Ceres and Bacchus for the ripening of fruits and wine; to Vulcan for the remaining human uses.
