to my brothers; I will praise you in the
congregations; Lord, may you be pleased
with the Sacrifice of Praise from my mouth.
Since you have prepared a praise from the

The Most Illustrious, High-born
PRINCE AND LORD,
AUGUSTUS,
Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, &c. &c.
Grace and Peace from God and the Father Jesus Christ.
Illustrious High-born Prince, gracious Lord:
When the prophet Isaiah preaches and makes known
his prophecies of the conversion of the Gentiles to
the Kingdom of Christ, he says with emphasis:
"The Kings shall walk in the brightness that rises
over you." Isaiah 60:3. Giving thereby, without
doubt, to understand that crowned heads and
high personages are brought into the Kingdom
of Christ with difficulty. And it is certainly so:
the best hope for great lords is while they still
lie in the cradle. In the course of time they
get so deep into the jaws of Satan, that they
cannot be snatched or released from there
without much effort.
