If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

How great are your works, O Lord! In the explanation of the Tree of Life for the students of the Zohar, to be my eyes,
and in the ancient and sealed chambers of old. He made known to me the way of
The Splendor of the King Hebrew: Hadrat Melech.
By it He merited me to rejoice in His greatness forever and always to praise Him. For everything requested in the Tree of Life,
here you shall find it. And see that regarding the passages of the Zohar we have become wise, and the place and the printing
in its entirety we have established. And the index of the passages in a pleasant and beautiful order is spun on the spindle.
Its splendor is like:
The Splendor of the King.
The righteous shall rejoice and say always, "May the Lord be magnified." And let there be peace in your rampart. We shall merit to behold
the pleasantness of the Lord in Jerusalem and to the house of the Lord we shall go. May the dwelling of the Son of David cause me to flourish,
and when you let me hear your voice, all the House of Israel shall bow down to the Lord
in The Splendor of the King.
An ornamental woodcut tailpiece features symmetrical scrollwork, floral motifs, and three hanging tassel-like elements, topped with a radiant sun-like crown. This is a common decorative element in 18th-century Hebrew printing.
The Rabbi and Author speaks in a clear and beautiful language. His name is known in the distinguished gates.
His lips are lilies dripping with liquid myrrh and aloes, with all the chief
spices. He made delicacies and types of ointments. Its leaf ascended as a sprout, and it blossomed
a blossom and brought forth a flower and ripened almonds. His palate is sweet and he is altogether desirable.
His mouth speaks great things. His deeds and his strength which he prepared
and acted upon by the works of his hands are gold rings, slaughtered on his tongue, a tongue of gold.
And the Tree of Life is a healing in its wings, peace. He is the distinguished Rabbi, the perfect sage,
the divine Kabbalist, our teacher and master, Rabbi Shalom Buzaglo.
May he merit and live, see offspring, and prolong his days, Amen.
They shall attain life and merit and comforts. The people of our generation shall tell of wonders,
that in our time it was given to write the book Tree of Life,
all of whose words are built upon the mouth of Elijah the Prophet,
and from the mouth of the holy Ari... to the soul of Chaim Vital...
in a clear language and not in riddles and structures. Therefore hear the words and tell them in life.
Raise your voice with strength in praise of the book
The Splendor of the King.
Therefore, wise of heart, listen to me. Since the word of the Lord was precious in those days, the book Tree of Life
was not found in my surroundings. I labored with much weariness until I found
a skilled scribe who wrote it for me. After much trouble, it fell to my portion by my lot.
And my companions hear and study by heart, going out without a book before me.
I sought to merit the public to print it. Grace protected them, He knew me and went
to acquire the Tree of Life, the entirety of which is chosen in the book
The Splendor of the King.
And now, I was compelled by my actions, for many precious passages in the Zohar, their explanation
I did not find. And because of their great depth, even my masters... and I did not know.
By specific Divine Providence, I have now found their explanation. Therefore I have printed them to complete
the Sanctuary of the King Hebrew: Mikdash Melech with the bread of:
The Splendor of the King.
