Just as I have done with the rest of my holy books that the Lord has graciously granted me, I have done with this one as well: adding new insights that have not been heard or written in the books of the early Kabbalists received mystical tradition, or only appeared in a very small amount. Even those earlier works were often closed and sealed, not explained as they should be. Now I have come and opened them, showing a new face to them and explaining them with a sufficient explanation, so that the matter will be understood by anyone who examines them with intense focus. I have also added new things that have not entered the heart of any man, and everything is founded upon the words of our Rabbis, of blessed memory, upon the words of the holy Zohar The Book of Splendor, and upon the words of the Ariza"l Rabbi Isaac Luria, the foremost late-medieval Kabbalist, who was the great luminary who enlightened our eyes in the Torat ha-Sod Secret Wisdom/Theology. All my words are founded upon his words, and I have no innovation of my own, except for what I received from him or what I understood from his words.

Everything I have written is the absolute truth, without any doubt. He who examines them with intense focus will see and understand that all is truth, without any defect. I have also added new things which have not been written in any book, and they are very necessary matters for one who wishes to ascend the levels of Torah and wisdom. Whoever is worthy to understand them will merit great spiritual attainments and will reach high and lofty levels. He will have success in this world and the World to Come, bringing satisfaction to his Creator. He will have a good name in this world and the next, and great merit before his Creator. And now I will come to explain in a very brief manner what I have written in this book, for this book includes seventy Tikkunim Rectifications or chapters. Each and every Tikkun is a matter unto itself, and each one is a great and awesome matter. Each is a very deep matter, a matter closed and sealed, hidden from the eye, concealed from the heart, hidden from the intellect, hidden from Da'at Knowledge, hidden from Binah Understanding, hidden from Chokhmah Wisdom, hidden from Keter The Crown/The highest emanation. Each is hidden from Atzilut Emanation/The highest world, hidden from Beriah Creation, hidden from Yetzirah Formation, hidden from Assiyah Action/The physical world.
