To the book of the Seventy Tikkunei ha-Zohar Rectifications of the Zohar which were given from Heaven and revealed from Heaven through the Divine Tanna Mishnaic Sage, Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, peace be upon him. Now they are printed anew in great glory and splendor, with many important additions that have never been seen before. All of this was done by those who exerted themselves in the matter, who risked their lives to bring to light what was hidden and to enlighten the eyes of the wise. All this was done with much labor and toil, and at great expense, so that the masses might merit it. Let it be a memorial between their eyes, and let these words be engraved on the tablet of their hearts. May their lips speak from the grave a reference to the merit of the deceased whose teachings are repeated, and may their reward be very great. For those who bring merit to the masses are like stars forever and ever. May these words be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path, and may they merit to see the consolation of Zion and Jerusalem with the coming of the righteous redeemer, speedily in our days, Amen.
Indeed, I know that many are those who seek to know the secrets of the Torah and long to see the light of the Zohar. Therefore, I set my heart to bring to light this holy book, which is the foundation and root for all the Wisdom of Truth a synonym for Kabbalah. Within it are included all the mysteries of the Torah and all the secrets of the world, and everything a person needs to know in order to ascend the levels of holiness and reach high stages. All this was done with much labor and toil, and at great expense, so that the masses might merit it. Let it be a memorial between their eyes, and let these words be engraved on the tablet of their hearts. May their lips speak from the grave, and may their reward be very great. Therefore, the obligation is cast upon every man of Israel who has the fear of God in his heart to support those who exert themselves in this matter and to assist them, so that they may complete their work and bring this holy book to the light of the world. Let this be for their merit and the merit of their ancestors, and let it be for them a shield and a buckler on the day of wrath and anger. May these words be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path, and may they merit to see the consolation of Zion and Jerusalem with the coming of the righteous redeemer, speedily in our days, Amen.
I give thanks to the Lord for granting me the merit to be among those who exert themselves in this matter and to bring to light this holy book, which is the foundation and root for all the Wisdom of Truth.
