From the year 1582 to 1601, Wolfgang von Dalberg was Archbishop and Prince-Elector in Mainz. (2) Johann von Dalberg was Prince-Bishop in Worms from 1482 to 1503, a gentleman who was very great in scholarship and had distinguished himself in an honorable way, as I shall show in the following. Adolph von Dalberg died in 1737 as Prince-Abbot of Fulda. And in our times, in the already well-known Karl Theodor, Baron von Dalberg, currently Archbishop of Tarsus and most worthy Koadjutor coadjutor or designated successor of the high Archbishopric
The Latin text from the margin of page 14 continues here: "He originated from the primary nobility of the Vangiones an ancient tribe in the Worms region, was Provost of the Church of Worms and Chancellor to the Roman Emperor Otto III. While absent in Italy, he was sought by the common prayers of the reconciled clergy and people of Cologne, and in the year of our Lord 999, he was approved as Archbishop of Cologne. He received the Pallium a liturgical vestment signifying archepiscopal authority in Rome from the hand of Pope Sylvester II."
