A pattern poem consisting of a 35 by 35 letter grid. Red frames highlight specific phrases across the grid. A central vertical and horizontal bar form a cross. Four rectangular boxes, or tetragons, are positioned in the four corners around the cross. The highlighted letters in the grid form the verses translated below.

A large decorative initial 'C' features architectural and floral motifs.
Cross, I pray, holy sign of God, mark my heart with your power:
So that I may duly sing of your bright trophies with praises:
How you bring down treaties from the heavens to earthly things:
Confirm the pact, and break the bonds of death.
O you apostolic host, and you order of martyrs,
Whom the summit of the house of Christ has placed by right,
You, the nourishing people, have built the foundations by a chosen voice:
And the holy, saving Cross is grafted upon the highest foundation,
Constructed and fixed by the strength of the Crucified One:
Which truly dedicated the human race to life:
And having been made firm, the guardian term: philax comes forth to show a column.
That an eternal form rises through itself from paradise,
Even the hall of the cover of the bridegroom and of the just king.
O Christ, you soon raise new trophies by right, by blood, and by the way
In the world, so that it may keep the treaties of the just.
Let it spurn the condemned, let it overcome the deceptive one with piety:
To whom you are favor and fear, virtue and the palm and the crown;
Glorious Cross of the Lord, foundation and hall of Christ.
You are more beautiful than the whole field blooming with flowers:
Higher than the Cedar, and more precious than white Parian marble;
You join squared stones on a firm path:
And the right of the patriarchs and the former people duly
Draws the foundations in the bottom of the whole house:
Which knows well how to bind devoted hearts by doctrine first,
The words of the prophet had rained upon the ruler of the right,
So that they might have already formed a living hall for the pious king,
As for Christ, in the well-worn arena:
For everyone at once ascends to the stars on account of the name.
This hall of Jesus flourishes toward the joyful North term: Arcton of the lightning,
And the good construction of life thrives, made firm by the voice:
The joining signifies, it grants these commands to travel by an omen:
By which way the leader leads to the holding of the scepters of light:
Whom the joyful good dwelling of Christ dedicates in the temple:
And he increases the four things of the Cross with these rocks:
And the corner himself bringing forth a perfect house.
