The second book of wonders

And all mankind shall know I am,
And Jah, Jehovah is my name:
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost;
In these three I’s the three persons of the Trinity the sentence passed,
And every mystery I will explain,
And echo back the lines to men.
I am the Maker of you all;
Eden was found when man did fall,
A Tree of Life stood within.
Hear now my voice, you sons of men:
O people simple and unwise!
Vain are your thoughts to despise
A God who gave the woman first;
I am, I am, to give her last;
By her obedience, clear the score;
Her faith is just, if men see clearly;
And she has erred on the safest side:
The path is straight, the field is wide.
So if you judge her senses lost,
It is where man can never boast,
So far beyond the skill of the learned,
And you may judge it as you will.

"I shall answer you from this communication and show you plainly that without a marriage union with a man, this could not be fulfilled. For if I gave the woman to Adam at first, when paradise was lost by disobedience, I must bring the woman into perfect obedience to God and man; and so I must give her to a man.

But had these things been understood, you would have been worn out with offers from lovers, knowing this was the first woman who ever wrote or acted like you—to spend your life from your youth up to this day in perfect obedience to your Lord. Therefore, men would not despise your age; but my command must be made known: that no man is to make an offer of marriage to you, nor must any proposals of love be made by anyone, before him to whom I have told you I resign your hand. Just as a father resigns his daughter in marriage, so I have told you I will resign you in marriage
