The second book of wonders

To call to mind every one of your friends,
And how they had all been kind in love,
And what they had suffered for your sake.
This caused your love and courage to break out,
And to begin like a soldier.
Your pondering thoughts must now be seen,
And the ways men’s mockery appeared
To make your friends like soldiers here.
And so you complained like a man
To see his soldiers thus slain.
You felt the cruelty they then endured,
Just like your followers here.
Surrounded by every kind of mockery,
Your friends were found like hunted harts deer;
Your friends became breathless and faint
Like men who struggle on.
Because the world began to boast
And say your champion was now lost;
And so the winds were rising high,
And your foes flew against your friends.
Yet my deliverance made you ache
Because of how it was fixed by Satan’s dart;
And then to prove I am in your form,
I showed how I had led you on,
While you were wounded here in grief,
Bearing a dread burden you could not endure,
If it were not for your love for ME
And for your true friends whom you would free.
You said that in love for God and man,
You would stand your awful trial;
And so the words must follow here
For ME to make the mysteries clear;
The way that I am in your form
Must be known to be in Spirit.”

The following communication was given to me: After it was revealed that a marriage union must take place, the enemy Satan broke in strongly upon me. This was the first time I felt any change from the heavenly joy I had experienced since this visitation began. It was after I was warned about the marriage, which made me shudder at the thought; I looked upon matrimony as far worse than death. I was then ordered to recall all the kindness of my friends,
