"Is Taylor clear? I tell you here,
You are no judge at all,
You do not know how things will go,
I have overwhelmed all your senses.
For I have sealed all your jewels as mine,
As men would steal them if they shone brighter;
Because they would take knowledge from you,
If I did not blind your eyes, you could not see
The way your writings must come in the end.
A marriage union was my full intent;
Or how could your writings ever come true?
And now bring the pages before my view."
"I said you would see the glittering stars appear to shine;
You will no longer mind your labor pains,
When righteousness and truth meet together,
And love and peace will then greet each other;
And it will be such a joyful day for man,
As Adam found when I formed the woman;
And men will stand more amazed than Adam,
And everyone will gaze more than Adam,
To see the knowledge from the woman’s hand,
That they cannot command by their own wisdom.
Because no man can read your handwriting;
But soon they will find the truth of all you have said:
'O heavenly wonder!' mankind will begin,
'Is this the bone that was once taken from man,
That now sticks so closely to his side?
One heart and soul are now joined together;
How could the man cast the blame on her?
If she was deceived, then he was just the same;
And like the woman, he might then reply,
And never cast the blame on God most high.
But now, like Adam, we must follow her example here,
And give the glory to our dear Saviour;
For if the man cast the blame on God,
Then now all our glory comes from God.
So we will cast the praise on our Maker;
For it is from him that all our glory bursts;
Since he has now handed down the good fruit
That was then found on the tree of knowledge.
And now the knowledge is in her hand,
Through such writings as we cannot command;
