3. "hand": so codices B, K, L; "hand" in codices Sinaiticus, A. The complementary mark at the end of the line is uncertain.
4. A dark mark above the line after "exalt" is probably not to be regarded as a stop. A diaeresis over the upsilon of "you" is likely to have disappeared in a lacuna.
5. "due time": codex A adds "of visitation".
6. "casting": manuscripts have "having cast".
9-10. It may be inferred from the space that "for" did not precede "he" as in codices Sinaiticus, C, L.
11. "the devil": the beta, of which the vestige is hardly to be mistaken, is slightly to the right of the omicron of "roaring", and since omega is an exceptionally broad letter, it is clear that "the" transliterated "dia" does not fill the available space. The addition of the article appears to be peculiar to the tenth-century cursive 13; another agreement, however, with that manuscript, which Eichhorn described as the queen of the cursives, is found in line 34 below.
13. "devour": so codex B, Westcott-Hort; "anyone to devour" in codices Sinaiticus, K, L, "anyone to devour" in codices A, etc.. The common spelling is found also in codex Sinaiticus*.
17. "world": so codices A, K, L; "the world" in codices B, Sinaiticus.
18. codex K transposes "your brotherhood"; codex L omits "your".
19. "are being accomplished" is for the infinitive.
21. "us": so codex K; "you" in codices B, Sinaiticus, A, L.
22. "glory": codex L adds "kingdom and glory".
23. There is not room for "Christ" which in codex B precedes "Christ", nor for "Jesus" which codices A, K, L add after it.
24. "perfect": "perfect" in codices B, Sinaiticus, A; "perfect you" in codices K, L.
25. codices Sinaiticus, K, L add "establish" after "strengthen"; codices B, A agree with 1353 in its omission.
26. The sigma of "for" is slightly to the left of the nu of "strengthen" and directly over the first nu of "ages". It therefore appears that the reading here was still shorter than that of codices B, A, and perhaps "the" was omitted, or "the glory" may have replaced "the dominion" as in cursive 45. codices Sinaiticus, L have "the glory and the dominion", codex K "the glory dominion".
27. "ages": so codices Sinaiticus, A, K, L; omitted by codex B.
32. There would be no room for "and" in codex Sinaiticus at the end of the line.
34. "God": in uncial manuscripts "of God". But though the letters upsilon-theta here are damaged and indistinct, there can be no doubt from the space that "of" was omitted, as in a few cursives, including 13. At the end of the line "you stand" as in K, L would obviously be much too long.
