The only other papyrus to preserve this section of the Gospel is 𝔓⁷⁵ Papyrus Bodmer XIV + XV, assigned to the third century. The only certain difference between 4495 and 𝔓⁷⁵ is at 2–3, where 4495 agrees with D.

2 "met him": this is replaced in D by "where they were", supported by e and λ; a b ff² i l q s read "and behold" (similarly the Syriac versions).
"met him": so 𝔓⁷⁵ A B W Ψ 𝔐; "came to meet" ℵ L N Θ 063 f¹·¹³ 579. 892. 1241. 2542 et al.
"him" is omitted by 𝔓⁷⁵ B L. Whether it was omitted in the papyrus depends on whether "ten" was written as a word or a figure.
3 "they stood from afar": omitted by ℵ*. There is insufficient room for "they stood up" (for "they stood"), the reading of B pc.
"from afar": "from afar" in all manuscripts (except W which reads "from afar").
3–4 "they raised their voice": the broken letter at the start of line 4 suits sigma but cannot be eta; we can therefore be sure that the papyrus did not read "they cried out with a loud voice", the reading of D with support from e.
2 Before "towards" most manuscripts read "he said"; D 157. 1071 read "he said then". The surviving trace is indeterminate.
2 Spacing suggests that the papyrus did not add "his" after "disciples" with A and several other manuscripts and versions.
2–3 "of you desiring": so D f¹³ 157, with the support of most Old Latin manuscripts; "when" (or "whenever") "you desire" 𝔓⁷⁵ ℵ A B L and most manuscripts.
3 It is probable that "man" was abbreviated, but less certain that the same is true of "Son" (cf. A. H. R. E. Paap, Nomina sacra sacred names/abbreviated divine titles, 105–6, 110–12). If so, the papyrus did not follow D in adding "of these" after "days", unless it also followed D in omitting "to see".
4 "you will see": so 𝔓⁷⁵ and most manuscripts; "to see" ℵ A D N R W et al.
5 "there or behold here": so 𝔓⁷⁵ B 579 and some Bohairic manuscripts; "there behold here": L; "there and behold here": ℵ; any of these could have been the reading of the papyrus. It did not read "here behold there" with D W 33 et al., supported by e q vg, "here or behold there" with A Θ Ψ 𝔐, supported by [a] aur c d and the Harclean Syriac, "here and behold there" with M pc, supported by most Old Latin manuscripts, or "here or there" with f¹³, supported by one Old Latin manuscript (l).
