...in the iron crucible. [6] Another method: with honey and oil-smeared egg, castor oil, and buttermilk, one should protect the egg. [7] The method: having placed two parts, and having restrained the mixture, one should crush it. [8] Another method: with sattva of gold, and twice the mākṣika, with the juice of kākumācī Solanum nigrum, one should cause digestion. [9] The six substances combined, with mica and vaṅga in a crucible, with the essence of gagana mica, the metals unite. [10] The abhraka-sattva mica essence transformation: with the seven seeds method, by the union of gagana-sattva, and with mākṣika, everything is necessarily united. [11] First, in the mouth of the kānta lodestone, the union of essences is done. [12]
Thus ends the twelfth chapter of the Rasarudra, "The Authority on the Extraction of Essence."
Now, the authority on the hybrid seed (saṅkara-bīja) is described. In honey, one makes the honey-path, a good day for the sweet sound. Thus ends the thirteenth chapter of the Rasarudra, "The Teaching on Hybrid Seeds."
Now, the digestion of hybrid seeds is described. What is seed digestion? It is described: one should perform the seed digestion with the same essence. If done properly, it becomes gold. [1] The method of quenching the molten metal is described: on an earthen leaf, one should add a quarter part of sulfur. [2] One should place the small pellet in a small iron crucible and heat it. [3] Regarding that: with lavaṇa salt, ginger, and earth, one should perform the smelting. [4] ...The mākṣika usage in smoke-blocking results in a gold color, processed with copper and mercury. [10] With threefold sulfur, the mercury is processed. The pellets, dried in the shade, are prepared. [12] Having placed it in the crucible-pot, one should heat it firmly. The gold becomes fixed. [13]
