Through the combination of the seven māśika small weights and the combination of qualities, the golden mercury is produced. One should transmute it by the method of sāraṇa. [29] The qualities of mercury after sāraṇa: therefore, the mercury is known as "assimilated" (sārita) and has qualities. [30]
The sārita mercury, joined with an equal seed, becomes weakened. One should counter-transmute it with double the amount and then re-transmute with triple. [31] The qualities of the sāraṇa sequence: the mercury, when counter-transmuted, becomes capable of piercing a thousand times. [32]
When anusārita, the mercury is even and clear. When sārita, it is joined. When pratisārita, it becomes capable of piercing. [33] The superiority of the essence of these two: the anusārita pierces the seed. The pratisārita and anusārita combined pierce even more. [34]
The pratisārita and anusārita [mercury] can pierce all [metals]. [35]
The anusārita transmutes metal into a countless number [of products]. The pratisārita pierces twenty-six times. [36] One should move it slowly until the gold is divine, as stated in the truth. [37]
