Now the method of seed-consumption bīja-grāsana is stated:

The womb is the mercury, the snake is the sun original: "arka", the essence is the diamond-cage, it again.
From the qualities of snake and gold, it creates the rasa mercury; it is known by the name 'Ankusha' goad/hook. [54]

Tīkā: In the entire jewel-procedure, the snake-nature is from the asaka non-attachment/detachment; the snake is śilā mineral. The rasa is like a lion in a diamond-cage. [54]
...Now the name of the mercury, 'Diamond-Cage' vajrapañjara: it is like the ocean, capable of swallowing the moon metaphor for silver/white metals. Why is it famous for the 'Ankusha'? Because it steals away anything by its crookedness kutila. [55]

Now the method of seed-consumption is stated:

By this method, the best seed is [to be] consumed, and also rubbed.
It should be performed until the perfection siddhi is achieved, with great care. [56]

Tīkā: By this manner and method, the seed-essence is to be performed; the mercury, the collyrium añjana, and the seed become perfected by the sveda steaming/sweating method. [56]
Another method: by that heating method, it becomes sweaty khinna and then becomes paste by the fire. [...] Now another method is stated: through the grinding of the seed-paste, the dvīra-nāga double-lead is consumed. [57]
As it is cooked, [place it] in the kāmaṇa-piṇḍa magical ball/pellet. [58]

By the oil-combination or the vaṭakī pill method, the cooking should be performed in the fire. Having placed it in the kāmaṇa-piṇḍa within the viḍa-piṇḍa ball of mixture, according to the fire-method: cook it in a mṛṅgīna an earthen container for two praharas periods of 3 hours. [59]

Tīkā: Having taken the pure mercury, perform the process in the pellet. [59]

Another [source] says: Or, in the auṣadhi-piṇḍa medicinal pellet, via the dolā-yantra swinging-apparatus method, throw it again into the pellet; let it be pregnant with the fire. [60]

Tīkā: Or, by another method, again the paste is in the dolā-yantra... the kāmaṇa medicinal pellet rests there; the mercury is consumed by the viḍa mixture. [60]

...The consumed seed is capable of killing the mercury. [61]
The result of the rapid consumption, via the viḍa-yantra and other combinations: the jāraṇa consumption is defined; its type is clear. [62]
