...one should restrain it with a cloth soaked in mantras, or clean it with a leaf. It should be applied according to the method; this is the work of the King of Essences. [8]
Tīkā: The transmuting work is to be told... [8]

The leaf-coloring method is stated: [10]
Tīkā: ...The coloring of the leaf is performed. [10]

Now the gold-procedure is stated:

Having boiled the arka copper/sun, place the essence in the middle, firmly puted sealed and heated in the earth, and color the vanga tin with mud; heat it in the puṭa furnace. [11]

The color-procedure is stated:

With the powder of the colors, repeatedly prepared.
Quickly make the sun-like gold kanaka gold with the mṛśi crucible/part method. [12]

Another says:

Given the essence of mercury and the white śilā mineral, and the mākṣika pyrite on the side;
given pravāla coral, kuṅkuma saffron, and gairika ochre, the gold becomes white. [13]

Another says:

The copper-born [substance], combined with the seed-essence and rubbed;
after puting, the sun-gold arka-hema becomes like the moon. [14]

Tīkā: The copper-born [substance] is the mākṣika pyrite essence... [14]

The silver-color procedure is stated:

To the vanga, add mākṣika and white śilā;
then perform the silvering with the tenth part. [15]

Another [source] says:

Nāga lead makes the essence move; it is the essence of firmness. [16]

Regarding the special doṣa defect/quality:

Gold and copper-mākṣika in equal parts, heated with karaja oil;
it should be heated ten times. [17]

Tīkā: The sulfur-killed rasa and gandhaka sulfur... [19]

Another says:

The copper killed by the mercury essence, and the gold/silver essence;
by the dolā-yantra, it should be consumed; it will be a copper-transmuter. [22]

Regarding the nāga:

The powder of rājāvarta lapis lazuli, pure, and cīnāśra, gandhaka, rasaka;
kāśīsa, śilā, and darada cinnabar. [1]

Tīkā: Rājāvarta is white, mākṣika is yellow, gandhaka is gold-mākṣika... [2]

Another says:

Puted with the śrīmāra-rasa mercury of the auspicious-killer, kill the nāga until it is niruttha incinerated/incapable of weight-loss;
then, in its middle, place the vanga and the five-salts. [3]

Another says:

In the nala-vaṃśa bamboo pipe, place the nāga, and heat it with the mercury-liquids;
rub it repeatedly with the copper powder. [4]
