Epistle of Godofredus Ernestus Groddeck, librarian to the Most Serene Prince ADAM CZARTORISKY, presenting various readings of the Phaenomena Appearances of the Heavens and Diosemeia Signs of the Weather of Aratus, most diligently excerpted from the codices of the Vienna library, along with an erudite description of the codices and other observations concerning Aratus. I included this letter in this volume with all the greater pleasure, as it may at the same time be some monument to the friendship and fellowship which I once held at Göttingen with its author, an excellent and most distinguished man, and whose memory will be most sacred and delightful to me throughout my whole life.
