The Jewel Mine of Mercury

Salutations to the Teacher of all worlds, the destroyer of the disease of worldly existence, the moon-crested Chandika Parvati/Shiva. The purification of mercury, which is achievable along with oils, roots, and poisons, and is endowed with proof, is told. For the success of physicians, for the benefit of those suffering from diseases, for the curiosity of debaters, for the bodily perfection of ascetics, and for the attainment of success in mantras by those who use them, this twenty-five-fold science is dear to the practitioners. In the Rasaratna, for the disease-afflicted patients of physicians, the destroyer of diseases is the panacea, and for ascetics, it is the rasāyana rejuvenative elixir. For those using mantras, it brings success in mantras. From mercury, success is born. It is easy, and it achieves what is sought without doubt. Whoever sees it, the mercury destroys old age and death; when faint improperly processed/inactive, it destroys disease. ...it gives color, movement, and transmutation... When dead fully processed/fixed, it is the bestower of grace. One should kill fix the mercury by pounding it with sulfur. This is the path of mercury for the very fortunate. Mercury without anger defects is Brahman the Absolute; when faint, it is Janardana Vishnu; when killed, it is the form of Rudra Shiva; when witnessing the killing, it is Maheśvara Great Lord. It is the transmuter of the body and metals, the direct manifestation of Sada-Shiva Eternal Shiva. By the mere sight of this mercury, O Goddess, one is absolved of the sin of killing a brahmin. By touching it, there is no doubt it removes the sin of approaching those who should not be approached incest/illicit relations. What more? Even by consuming it, one attains the supreme state. Used in small doses, it gives health quickly. This mercury is superior. The person who knows this mercury becomes like a god among humans. Salutations to Shri Suryerama...
