Rasasara The Essence of Mercury
Om, in my hand, grant success, grant success, grant success, svaha. Om Ishvaraya namah Salutations to the Lord. Om Raseshvaraya namah Salutations to the Lord of Mercury. This is the Raseshvara mantra.
Om Aim Hrim Shrim Ram Vim Hraum Bhagavati Ghore Hraum Rasankusheshvari Hamsahamsi Hram Hrim Hum Trayam namah. Aghoramukhim Chham Lum Kini Kini Viccai Ksham Khyai Shrim Hrim Aim, paralyze the mercury, paralyze it, svaha. This is the great vidya of Rasankushi.
Grant me, O King of Mercury, divinity along with the practitioners,
The ability to travel in the sky, the preservation of youth, and the supreme success of metallic transmutation. (15)
Stay, stay, O best of the gods, accomplish success for me, O Lord,
Giving up your restlessness, be steady in the fire. (16)
For the destruction of the suffering of the three worlds, Shiva has become manifest.
I am caught by time and seized by fear; save me, save me, O Lord of the gods. (17)
Through the study of Vedas, gifts, austerities, and sacrificial rituals,
Liberation happens for some; there is no distress for them there. (18)
Enjoyment, liberation, preservation of youth, metallic success, and the ability to travel in the sky,
One obtains this curiosity in the world through the King of Mercury. (19)
One who consumes its fruits, fulfilling all desires, cannot be pierced by weapons,
He travels constantly in the three worlds and delights with the immortals. (20)
The four goals of life, known as Dharma righteousness, Artha wealth, Kama desire, and Moksha liberation,
Are accomplished without doubt through the grace of the King of Mercury. (21)
Thus ends the first chapter, concerning the form of mercury worship and praise, in the Rasasara composed by the illustrious Govindacharya.
