One should strain the mercury through cloth twenty-one times;
Lead, tin, and other metals remain, to some extent, on the cloth. (1)

One should grind it for one day with the soil of planetary dust, brick powder, burnt wool, molasses, and fermented rice gruel; the mercury will become free of impurities. (2)

When mercury is ground for seven days with the milk of the Vajri Euphorbia neriifolia plant,
Mixed with borax sarjika-kshara, the fault of the earth is destroyed. (3)

One should combine it with borax and the milk of the Arka Calotropis procera plant. (4)

One should grind the mercury for a week to destroy the "armor" of the mercury;
Ground with the juice of the leadwort chitrak and combined with borax,
The "skull-fault" calamine-related impurity arising from diamond is destroyed; there is no doubt here. (5)

With the juice of the Vajra-kanda a succulent plant and combined with ammonium chloride navasara,
The blackening kalika originating from diamond-faults is definitely destroyed. (6)

With a sixteenth part of borax and the juice of the bitter gourd,
Ground for seven days, it releases the fault of lead. (7)

Ground with a decoction of the Bija plant Pterocarpus marsupium and with lemon juice,
The "skull" fault originating from lead leaves the mercury; there is no doubt. (8)

The poison-fault is destroyed with leadwort and winter cherry ashwagandha;
Through a decoction of the three myrobalans triphala, the pride-fault is destroyed. (9)

The Meenakshi, Ankola, and Dhatura plants are controllers of the "insane" mercury,
Grinding with a decoction of the three pungents trikatu is the destroyer of subtle faults. (10)
