Grinding each for one yama three-hour period, [one should process] the mercury. (18)
Taking the Kinnara apparatus, one should coat the base with medicine;
One should place the mercury, combined with ammonium chloride, inside the apparatus. (19)
One should place a saucer over the mercury and seal the joint firmly with clay,
Filling it with salt and closing the opening with effort. (20)
Placing it over a furnace, the wise one should light a lamp-fire;
After one yama, one should take it down and the mercury should be cooled. (21)
