Purvabhadrapada and Ashlesha are known to be in the middle of the Vāruṇa mandala.

Purvashadha is also remembered by Shiva as granting the success of that act. 16.

"Purvabhadrapada and Ashlesha are known as those moving in the middle of the Vāruṇa mandala, and in this way, Shiva has called Purvashadha a granter of the success of acts."

Swati, Hasta, Mrigashira, Chitra, Uttaraphalguni,

Pushya, and Punarvasu are declared to be situated in the fire mandala. 17.

"Swati, Hasta, Mrigashira, Chitra, Uttaraphalguni, Pushya, and Punarvasu—these are situated in the fire mandala. 17."

Ashwini, Bharani, Ardra, Dhanishtha, Shravana, Magha,

Vishakha, Krittika, Purvaphalguni, and Revati. 18.

"Ashwini, Bharani, Ardra, Dhanishtha, Shravana, Magha, Vishakha, Krittika, Purvaphalguni, and Revati. 18."

These are situated in the middle of the wind mandala and grant the success of those respective acts. Peace, nourishment, and also malicious acts. 19.

"These, situated in the wind mandala, grant the success of those respective acts. Peace, nourishment, and malicious acts are performed by the fingers described further, and they succeed. 19."
"Thus ends the determination of Mahendra and other mandalas."
