He met Adam
...God through the veil, kept from seeing Him. He said, "Yes, they are veiled from knowing that it is He," since it has already been established when He manifests to Himself, you know Him by His essence, while you are seeking Him through His name and your need for Him; thus, it did not occur. And it will come [to be explained]. He greeted you and knows whom you have met, even if he did not introduce himself to you. I said, "O my master, does he see Him?" He said, "Yes, he sees Him; rather, he does not see anything else. It is not named except by distance." This is why we said regarding knowledge that it is the essence of His self; if it were not the essence of His self, then the one about whom it is said that he "needs God" would have no meaning, nor would there be any meaning to the statement itself. I said, "Did God manifest that to the mountain, and did it not see Him from itself?" It did not manifest to the mountain; rather, it said, "It does not remain for the one to whom it manifests," and there must be one who crosses over to the state, for that which was for the mountain was like a lightning strike. What then of the one who underwent the strike? I said to him, "God manifested to him, so it departed from him according to what was granted to him." He said, "This is His grace with the knowledge of Him. So take what is from the [fish] Refers to the story of Moses and the Fish in the Quran, 18:61, where the fish came to life; symbol of spiritual vitality., but since you only take from Him according to the limit of your capacity, his speech is possible for you." O my heart, be prepared for what is known of Him, in that which is above it is not known of Him from behind it, for He does not give you of Him except according to that. He does not bring you out except from the division of what you attributed to Him, for "We did not send any messenger except so that you might call them to Him, not so that you might call them to us." We are entirely apart from our structure and your human structure, not by a mother nor by anything of it, even if some do not speak to others, or believe in [others] apart from God. I said to him, "The Hija Alphabet/Letters and the Quran?" He said, "That is why in her saying, 'By what you heard of the speech of God'—did she say yes?" I said, "And what is your name?" He said, "He." I said, "In what did you swear?" He said, "In that which is valid in that, it is not known except by companionship." I said, "Are you perhaps among the people of 'tastes' Dhawq, spiritual intuition or direct tasting of divine realities.?" He said, "Yes, and the tastes are according to the rank." [It was a] fruit, and from it I departed. Then I descended upon the courtyard of Abraham, the Friend of God, peace be upon him. I greeted him, and he returned it to me, easy and welcoming. I said, and the Merciful... I said, "O Mountain," then I said...
Rather, their chief did it.
He said, "Do not forbid them, for I will be the one breaking the idols."
Regarding the matter, I was united in what I said, so he pointed with his hand. He said, "You know what she said, that is above her wisdom." A reference to the Quranic dialogue concerning the broken idols.... and it will be indicated by his saying:
Rather, their chief did it, this one.
So ask him about establishing the argument against them from them. He said, "I did not add to what the nations were taught." I said, "What is your opinion on the perfection of pleasures? Was it from belief?" He said, "No, but from definition." The establishment of the argument against the people was a matter, what the Truth said regarding that, for that is under His prophets, Abraham and others. There was no belief of benefit in the perfection of its pleasures, for it fluctuates between the two types. It was not the best for their people, for had the return been to them, and they were only returning in their worship to what they had confirmed as God... That is why when Abraham said, "It is He who gives life and causes death," Nimrod said, "Indeed, the one who attributes life and death to the gods he set up, he has denied [the truth] through his ugliness." He said, "I give life and cause death." So he shifted to attributing their transcendence, which does not hold up upon desertion, for it did not descend upon the later ones. When he was confused by them, the later ones followed him in what he brought in his own wording and said, "Only by tricks to the West in their understanding." That is the attainment of attributing the thing to a human, to represent what his parents heard from the West.
Then the one who disbelieved was confounded.
I said to him, "This is the answer from God, His robe, he was sent in it, he is in it." He said, "If his questions were few, then his cup is [full]. The sun rose from the East, and you did not witness it."
...from his knowledge of the alphabet of the beginning. He said, "What are the arguments between us and the people except from your ignorance? And the point does not disappear for those with insight into truth." So it was confounded, higher than his father, glorified by His mercy to the later ones, for Abraham was upon the path. It was not a fruit that he should slaughter for his father, for whom the Bayt al-Ma'mur the Frequented House (in heaven) was ranked, nor the essence that manifests every day, the manifestation of the Saying that encompassed in seventy thousand veils of light and darkness. And the servant was poor in it; he did not find it, and in it were the letters of the features of His face. Know that the khalwat seclusions are an essence that has no number, so desire wherever the river of the Transcendent flows. I separated between its blooming branches and its furthest branches, and the lights of the day covered them, and I looked upon the wings of its branches, the birds of the spirits of favors. It is its folding for the human. As for the views, it is only by His glory; he knows that he counts the stages in proportion to what we mentioned in the table named "The Ranks of Gifted Sciences." Then I witnessed the niche of the curtains of the knowers:
They gave me to drink from rivers of fresh water, as it was sweet. What was cut off for them has no precedent, so the knowledge of the signs was completed. You come to him with this statement, we said:
We believe in God and what was revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims (those who submit) to Him.
So He gave in the grasp of this verse the perfection of the signs, and in it is the proof that whoever knows it has the key to every science. I knew that the sum of what was mentioned to me was, and he was showing you the legal kingdom, for I was in the state of the manifestation of the knowledge of all of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, for he is the last messenger and the last of those to whom He was like, God is the gatherer of knowledge and the redactor of His paths. So he was purified by what the Messenger of God saw, and from the pain of the release of his message for the sake of the six directions, and in any direction where he did not find anything except the light of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. It opens upon you in the limit, the one of them, and in the one is the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the teacher. And what was obtained in that, I said, until the foundations were brought forward. When I meant by it the names, I examined the number of the 71 paths of the meanings of all the names, and that they return to one meaning and one essence. So that which was named manifested as my witness, and that essence was my existence. My journey was that I am in it, and it guided me to what I reached here, to the contract of pure Lordship, the secret of its solitude, and the war of this station, so the knowledge of the Oneness of His noble promise departed from it. I was not before that to be confused by my colors, when I saw the forehead of servitude and stood upon the unseen with the eye of witnessing. And it did not mean to cut off the unseen from the world, everything returns in the right of the servant as witnessing, and I denied the unseen according to the one who is in existence by the aspect of his essence of sights and hearings, as there is no key to that unseen in the world except the inheritances of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the inheritors of the sum of sciences, and He chose them upon the hearts of the knowers. They are the charges of the charges of the meanings of hearts, God sends them into the souls of those who are sweet, of those who do not remember except those who work. When the human asked who sees the message science, the trust with the text that God sent upon them, he said to him, "And say, 'My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'" He disguised himself from him with an eye, so he read upon his face to return to him the school of the question, so he said, "It is only revealed..."
