Your Holy Spirit. [May it be] to the fulfillment of Your will, who alone are God, merciful, long-suffering, and of great mercy, for blessed is Your name, of the Father and of the Son and of Your Holy Spirit, now.
And they wash the altar first with water, and then with wine, and say prayers -
"The Lord shall feed me." In green pastures... the response... The deacon proclaims.
A small decorative cross.
And again in peace, and the bishop writes down, and [repeats] the prayers again until they finish the washing. And then he places the myron holy oil/chrism around, upon the altar, and says sweetly:
My God, my God, [anoint] my head with oil; my cup, my God, inebriated me with pure drink;
"The Lord shall feed me," and they say the anointing three times, and then these prayers:
God, God, God, God, God, God, God, God, for the sake of the faith.?
They drop the Alleluia [the chrism] upon the middle of the altar.?
Then the deacon proclaims and says in a loud voice: "The Lord is here," and the bishop says in a loud voice:
"May this altar be blessed and anointed and sanctified in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." And the people say: "Amen." And they make the sign of the cross with the myron holy oil in the middle of the altar, and then they anoint it. And then the four corners: the front of the altar on the south side, and the east, and the north; then also the altar's pillar, saying the names of each: "May my God be blessed, anointed, and sanctified." And then the sanctuary, upon the window, and they say the great [hymn] "All" meaning the Great Doxology in a chant - God, God of all... and according to God...? "Your holiness befits Your house, O Lord, in the temple unto length of days."
And then they turn toward the south side, until the edge of the sanctuary.
And they say the name-giving of the church, in the completion of the sanctuary. And then they turn toward the south side and go up to the bema, and anointing they go toward the north side, and come until the door of the church, and they anoint and say: "To Your house it befits." And then they stand outside all around that which he decorated, and they close the door, and the priests enter the church. And they vest the altar with seven vestments, and others go out and anoint with the myron holy oil, going toward the south side, to the east, and surrounding [the outside], and they come through the north and west until the door. And they begin the response: "The door of the Lord." [Chant]... "Enlighten me, for..." And they say the great [hymn] three times: first inside in the sanctuary upon the window, second at the door, third at the outer window. And when
they finish [the hymn] at the doors, one of the servers falls upon his knees before the door, and with his head opens the door. And the other deacons kiss the doorposts and the door and the place of the cross-sign of the myron holy oil, and they say the response: "Be glad, O church; church," and they enter the church. [Chant]... "Be glad, O church," and they say the eight [psalms]; pray. The response of Stephen. "Confess, O give thanks, Lord." And the deacon proclaims: "For this holy church." And the bishop says: "In Your holy dwelling." And they come before the altar and say: [Chant] "Your altar, O Lord of hosts." And the deacon proclaims: "For peace from above; for hearing; for the forgiver; for the remission; for the foundation of the fortress; for the souls." And the bishop [says] the prayer:
Almighty God,
who in the name of the chief
holy apostle Peter,
named this rock of Yours
