house, the temple, this,
so that they may desist from their
sins." The vision of this
and its form, and its proportions
and [they] shall receive
their afflictions, for
what they have done. And they shall depict
the house and its prepar
ation, its entrance and its
exit, its measure and all
its commands, and all
its laws and its judgments.
Show them, and
they shall keep all the judgment
s and my commands and
shall perform them. And the depiction
of the house upon the top of the mount
and all its boundaries around
about are holy of holi
nesses. This is the pattern
of the temple and this measure

of the altar.

First Reading from Isaiah the Prophet

Putting away
henceforth all mal
ice and all deceit,
and hypocrisy and
envy and all malice,

Gospel According to Matthew:
At that time Jesus an
swered and said: "I
thank You, Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, that You
have hidden these things from the wise
and the prudent and have revealed
