In the Lord I have put my trust; how do you say to my soul, "Flee to the mountains like a bird"? For behold, the sinners have bent their bows; they have prepared their arrows in their quivers, that they may shoot at the upright of heart in

darkness. For behold, those things which you have established, they have torn down; and what has the righteous done? The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord's throne is in heaven. And his eyes look upon the poor, and his eyelids examine the sons of men. The Lord examines the righteous and the sinner; and he who loves injustice, his soul hates. He shall rain snares upon the sinners; fire and brimstone and a whirlwind shall be the portion of their cup.
